Allison Bankieris is an exceptional country music performer with many talents. Not only does the
fourteen year old possess an amazing vocal ability, she also plays guitar and has co-written original music. Dave
James, of Dave James and the Twang Factor, recently commented on his initial impression of
Allison by saying, “I had never seen a fourteen year
old with such stage presence,” and added that
“she has a voice like I have not heard in a long time.”
Allison is in the process of recording her debut CD. The tracks on the album showcase her mature and professional sound.
The title track, “Follow Your Heart,” tells a story familiar to Allison about the journey to find success in the music world and the willingness and determination to get there. “Here I Am” is a soulful ballad that highlights the quality of Allison’s voice that, according to Jill James of the band Jamestown, “can only be described as believable.” This quality can also be found in “One of Those Days,” a song which Allison co-wrote.
Allison has a passion for sharing music with others and performs annually at the Erie County Relay for Life. She has opened for several area performances, including Terry Lee Goffee, a renowned Johnny Cash tribute artist, and has enjoyed singing the National Anthem for numerous sporting teams.
There is no denying that Allison is mature beyond her years; she
carries a drive and determination that will undoubtedly make her
a force to be reckoned with in country music. Coupling that with
her superior singing and song writing abilities, the only thing that
can be added is that this girl is ready for it all.
